a handmade zine based on a poem by Joseph Brodsky, translated by David Zharnitsky.

analogue photographs are inkjet printed on handmade coconut paper. fragments of the poem are printed on translucent sheets and layered over the photographs, so that the text physically enters the image, disappears into it and reappears as the pages are turned.

the zine is a visual reinterpretation of the poem, using the transparency and materiality of paper to create new relationships between words and photographs.
