editions
a small selection of works is available as limited edition prints. i think of a print as another physical state of the work, where paper, scale, surface and the way the image is printed become part of its meaning.
because of this, the material details may differ from work to work, depending on the project and on what feels true to the image.
each print is signed and numbered. edition size, paper, dimensions and price are listed individually for each piece.

mourning the fallen in war
this image was made after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, at a moment when news reports increasingly reduced human loss to numbers: forty dead, one hundred, one thousand. as these figures multiplied, individual lives disappeared behind statistics. against the background of the war and the political reality in Russia, i began to feel that joy was no longer fully accessible, even when surrounded by beauty, sunlight, and celebration.
i do not experience mourning as something bound to a sacred building. for me, the world itself becomes a temple. this image grew out of that belief. i imagined a fragile memorial made of candlelight, placed not inside a church but under the open sky, by the sea.
the first attempt failed. the wind extinguished every flame. the second attempt also did not succeed. only on the third attempt, months later, during a stay on the island of Corfu, did the image finally emerge. at dawn, on the windowsill of an old villa overlooking the sea, i lit the candles once more. that the image came into being at a sunrise is essential for me. dawn is not a triumph or a resolution, but a quiet moment of hope that exists despite everything.
this work is part of my long-term project in conversation with spirits, in which photography functions as a ritual rather than a document. each image captures a performative act of grieving and continues to work through its visual means with the viewer, making this burden slightly lighter.
this photo was part of the “Last Train” group exhibition, featured on PhotoVogue, and shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Arts.

layers of London
one of the city’s layers: architecture that seems indifferent to the human body, and a person who, for some reason, chose this exact place to sit.
this is a frame from my series layers of London, a project made over the course of a year, while i walked through different neighbourhoods of the city once a month, photographing its layers on analogue film.

love is a quiet moment when the world briefly loses its gravity.
for a second, everything becomes lighter and unstable.
no one knows if this sudden lightness is a beginning or the start of a fall.

pisces
pisces exists as a series of small black and white analogue prints placed inside handmade copper frames. their scale is intimate, almost icon-like, made to be held close rather than simply looked at from a distance.
each frame is made by hand, so the object keeps a trace of touch, imperfection and process. for me, these works are not only photographs, but small material forms of protection and attention, quiet objects that can live with the viewer in a personal space.
