pisces is a small series of black and white analogue photographs, made in a moment of quiet contemplation, when action seems to speak through silence.
the fish appears here as an ancient image, moving between religion, mythology and memory. it belongs to water, but also to origin, survival and transformation. in these works, i look at the fish not only as a symbol, but as a fragile presence, something that carries both the beginning of life and the possibility of guidance.
the photographs were made on different analogue cameras and rare lenses. after printing, each image is placed inside a small handmade copper frame. these objects are intimate in scale, almost small enough to hold in the palm of a hand.
i think of them as quiet icons, made to be carried close, as small reminders of hope, protection and the possibility of moving through the present.
